Has anyone sent just "letters from employers (including start and finish dates)" as proof of living in the UK and got accepted? Without sending Payslips, P60s etc?
Yes - no issue (in 2016) - I had just one letter covering 10 years.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

Is emailed survey proof my application is on it's way?

Post by wonderer98 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 10:10 am

I was sent "UK Visas and Immigration Survey" - does this mean that the application has been approved/refused and the results are on their way to do they just send it at random? Any experiences?

Referees not contacted

Post by wonderer98 » Mon Mar 18, 2019 10:47 am

Is it normal for referees not to be contacted at all?

Yes. They are very rarely contacted.

Finding out about progress of application

Post by wonderer98 » Thu Apr 04, 2019 9:38 am

It's probably irregular, but has anyone found a way to call / email HO and get any sort of update on the status/progress of the application?

They won't update you with anything useful until 6 months has passed. The call centre does not have full access to your application and where it is at in the processing system.

Yes as you are only British once you have attended your ceremony, not before.

What exactly do you mean?? The UK does not have 'UK ID' like EU countries do. It is the passport only for British citizens.

Passport - fastest way?

Post by wonderer98 » Mon May 20, 2019 1:30 pm

As I understand it to get a first British passport after naturalisation there are 2 available options
1. Online
2. Paper form to be sent via post

a) Am I right?
b) Which one is faster?
c) If I choose online, how do I send a document with a referee signature? Is there a form at the end which I need to print and mail?

a) yes
b) makes no real difference. Generally passports applied for before the summer season tend to take a bit longer due to it being one of the busiest periods.
c) the online form will tell you what is required.
