Tier 2 General application before travelling home country

Hi Guys,
I am travelling to India to apply for Tier 2 General visa. Can my visa application be applied before a I travel my home country ? or I should apply only after reaching my home country? I have this doubt because I might have to give the travel history dates during the application and it would not have my recent travel dates if i apply before I travel. Please help.
