Studying in UK

Post by noha » Tue May 28, 2019 2:08 am

Hello,

I hope you all are doing great. I'm currently living with my husband in the UK. He is a software engineer. We are holding tier 2 general/dependent visas. We are planning to bring my little sister to continue her education here in UK. She's 14 years old. We are wondering how would be the process to get her enrolled in a school here in the UK and get her visa?

Thanks in advance!

For a tier 4 child visa, it has to be an independent school that sponsors her. She can't go to a state/Council funded school.

Thank you so much for your reply. Is there another way to bring my sister depending on my tier 2 dependent visa and the relative relation between us ?

No, unfortunately not. Tier 2 migrants can only sponsor their spouse and children.

Where are her parents??

They are in Egypt. Is it possible to take a scholarship at the expense of the state?

For a Tier 4, it is an independent fee paying school that must sponsor her.
