Delays with 2019 applications

Post by jori » Thu Jun 06, 2019 3:14 pm

Hi folks,

I sent in my application by registered post for Irish citizenship on 6th April and it was received on 9th April based on the tracking progress.

So far I have heard absolutely nothing. They say that they keep your passport for about 6 weeks but I haven't even received my own passport back.

I was wondering for people who have applied this year based on their stamp 1/4, what's their experience been like?

thanks lads

Hi,
I applied in early January and got passport and acknowledgement back in less than a week, but I haven't heard anything since then. I was hoping to have my second letter by now as my case is really straightforward.

There's a thread called 2019 Citizenship Applications Timelines Only, you may want to look at it for others who have applied around your same time to see where they are at in the process.

My application went in the 28th of February I waited 10 weeks for my passport to be returned so I wouldn't worry too much about it yet!!my application is based on marriage to an irish citizen

Yes got it all back together but had to send more documents which went with original application so don't be surprised if this happens aswell
