Work status changed but application is pending

Hi,
I’ve applied for indefinite under tier1E on 31/11/2018,
The work status has changed from last Monday but haven’t received anything after, I phoned today to chase it up, received call after few hours and surprisingly be advised that application is still not completed and they don’t have any idea when will be completed. Is there anyone has same experience?
