Travelling to UK with eu fam stamp visa

Post by Grand2015 » Sun Jun 09, 2019 11:04 am

Hi so me and my partner got a eu fam stamp our case was a partnership case. We are thinking go travel to the uk for 3 weeks to meet family.

What will he need to travel to the uk with?

Is some sort of UK visa needed or an eea permit?

Or can he just travel with eu fam stamp and garda card?

Thanks.

If its a EUFAM card then no worries.
You two are travelling together no prob. Just get a visa check stamp on the non eu boarding pass and ur good to go. Been doing myself every two weeks.

The visa stamp applies to Ryanair, I believe, not other airlines.
If you are in a registered partnership and your partner is joining or accompanying you and has EU fam he or she will be fine.

The Irish Residence card now states clearly the it is a Residence card for family members of EEA national.

Thankyou so much we're flying out for 2 days on Tuesday just hoping everything goes well.
Have you ever travelled to Leeds Bradford airport?

Thanks alot Yeap it's eu fam I suppose I was a tad nervous because it's his first time flyin since 4 years. Tried to apply for a permit until I realise we don't qualify for it because I'm a UK national

Open a new thread, as your question is not related the OP’s question.
The answer is yes. You need a visa if you hold a temporary stamp 4.
