ILR VIA TIER2 5 Years ROUTE

Post by mruga109 » Wed Jun 12, 2019 7:53 am

Hi

I am holding Tier 2 General visa. I have applied for 5 years visa on Jan 2015. And i received my visa in April 2015. But on my Bio metric card Visa Issue date is 18 April 2015 and Visa end data is 14 Feb 2020.

My question is, as its 4 years and 10 month visa even though i apply for five years, can i apply for ILR on or before 14 Feb 2020??? or do i need to extend my tier 2 general visa for one more year?

Please advice me on above your help is really needed.

What was the duration and exact dates of your cos?

Was it an in country application or out of country application??

For ilr, you can apply no sooner than within 28 days before 18 April 2020.

This is my personal opinion but I think this is usually done on purpose to make it more difficult to apply ILR. UK Govt is looking to reduce net immigration for quite sometime for obvious reasons. Also this generates additional revenue out of visa fees.
I had to apply T2 extension for the 2nd time as I had only 2 weeks gap between visa expiry and eligible date for ILR.

Nonsense.

Visas are issued based on what the CoS states.

I fail to understand also why people wait so many years to query what might be an error!!
