Post by wiki1234 » Sat Jun 08, 2019 7:46 pm

Good Evening All,

I am preparing to submit my ILR documentations and for peace of mind i wanted to just list them here just incase i have missed out anything and hope you guys can spot that.

The documentations i will be submitting (i am sponsoring my wife on the 5 year route from Pakistan and is beyond her 5 years in the UK from May.

1. My Passport - do i need a passport size photo?
2. Wives passport including old passport which has expired but has the old visa within.
3. Bio-metric card + Passport size photo
4. Original Employment letter
5. Promotion Letter
6. Employment Contract + Passing of Probation period letter
7. 12 Months Payslips - My monthly wage is higher the last 6 months from April 2018 to May 2019.

The invigilators at the test centre exmplained that name cannot be changed and permitted us to take the test with the use of passport as verification which shows the name correct format. signed and dated.
13. Pass for Life in the UK Test
14. B1 speaking and listening test
15. Marriage Certificate - English Version translation
16. Marriage certificate - Urdu Version
17. Daughter and sons Birth certificates. do i need passport size photos for them?

the invigilators also explained to us that we just need to write a letter to the caseworker explaining it is a genuine mistake and the test was genuinely taken at the test centre booked through hmrc.

1. No passport photos needed.
2. Fine.
3. BRP yes, passport photos no.
4. What do you mean 'original employment letter'?? What is the date of the letter?
5. What date is the promotion letter? When were you promoted?
6. Why are you submitting this?? Passing probation letter is not required.
7. How long have you been with your current employer?? You only need 6 months payslips and bank statements.
8. You do NOT need P60s.
9. You only need 6 months bank statements.
10. Not required. ILR has no proof of adequate accommodation requirement.
11. Not required.
12. Not required. It is a common error and as long as the name in any order is same as passport, it is fine.
13. Fine.
14. Fine, provided is an approved test and from an approved test centre.
15. Should be ok.
16. Should be ok.
17. No passport photos required.
18. Fine.
19. Fine.
20. NOT required.
I havnt got a council tax letter on hand so i havnt put that in. Will that be okay?
Fine.

You should only submit what the checklist ask for. You are submitting a lot of unnecessary documents.

Thank you for the response. Really appreciate it.

I have been with the employer for over two years. The reason i am providing more than 6 months is that over the last 6 months....my wages have all been different due to overtime. its well above the required rate....but for instance as an example....jan would be 2.2k.....feb would be 2.4k. march would be 2.3k.

its all down to the overtime payments and cut off dates for the admin department.

I will remove the unneccesary documentations that arnt required.

Do these documents need to be sent by post or to be scanned?

HMRC has nothing to do with any of the tests.

one of the questions asks:

Evidence of monthly housing costs for the accommodation in the UK where you live or will live
For example, a tenancy or mortgage agreement .

the property is on my name....i will have to look for a mortgage agreement tomorrow. that is why i added the land registry to prove its my property.

Evidence of monthly housing costs

Post by wiki1234 » Wed Jun 12, 2019 5:48 pm

Hello,

Can anyone please tell me what they mean for this question please?

(Applying ILR under the 5 year route)

1. Evidence of monthly housing costs for the accomondation in the UK where you live?

Wat is required for this? i currently own the property and have the land registry and a letter from the solicitor confirming the purchase of the property years ago. is that sufficient or do i need a letter from the bank such as Mortgage confirmation?

@Mods - I am also in the process of applying ILR using 5 year route (T2 General), but I don't recall getting the above question about monthly costs. Any idea what could be the reason?

Note - We are renting currently and that's what I selected in the application.

1. The op in this topic is applying based on 5year spouse visa on SET M and not PBS route Set O.

2. Kindly keep your question in your own topic you already have.

Post by wiki1234 » Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:59 am

Good Morning All,

In need for some advice.

My appointment is on the 15th for ILR 5 year route and im hoping to get everything scanned on by today/tomorrow latest.

Can anyone please guide me as to which category each document would belong too? the categories are soo vague and many documents can fit in several different places.

Categories are:
A - Other
B - Residence in the UK
C - Finance
D - Proof of Business - (im employed so this might not come in)
E - Life Events -
F - Medical Info
G - Sponsors / Employment
H - Educational

My documents are:

1.Partners Passports - Those are scanned in the Mandatory section (Proof of Identity)
2. My current and old expired Passport - Proof of Application
3. Declaration signed by partner - Proof of Application
4. National ID Card Pakistan - Proof of Application
5. 12 months Bank statements - ?
6. 12 Months Payslips - ?
7. Mortgage Statement/Land registry - ?
8. Employer Contract - ?
9. Letter from mEmployer - ?
10. Marriage Certificate Urdu - ?
11. Marriage Certificate Eng Translation - ?
12. Kids Birth Certificate - ?
13. Life in the UK Test - I presume education?
14. B1 Speaking and Listening - Presuming Educational

Really hoping someone can help me so i can add the documents in the correct place. i am really anxious and do not want to mess up on the last hurdle. Please just add the letters (A to H) next to the documents listed. I am hoping i havnt missed anything out?

You are overthinking. Categories are not important as long as you upload all your documents as best of your understanding. You dont have to upload documents in each and every category. Just upload in the categories relevant to you. There is no hard and fast rule here.

proof of application explicitly states only current passport and consent form.

previous passports can go in residence

LIUK and english test can go in education

12 months payslips, letter from employer, employment contract in employment

12 months bank statements, land registry in finance

All other docs can go in “other”

I did not read each and every category but you kind of have an idea now. Its pretty simple.

I cant really comment as i dont know the purpose of council tax. I am assuming council tax will be for the cohabitation purpose. If that is true, it has to be in your own name or joint names. You can add some other documents like nhs letter, electricity bills etc, not necessarily you need council tax bill given you have other options.

Ah got ya. i mean i have all the correspondence letters anyway....

me and the mrs are both on the council tax...( i have called Bham city council and confirmed that) but they could not add everyones name on the council tax so they just randomly chose my mums...

It does state in the documents required that its not a must but would be preferable...i do have an older council tax letter which i have added in the correspondence section
