For applying pre settlement status, do I need to send my RC card which is valid till 2022 or just my passport is enough?
you need to send it
So just rc is enough?
you need to send both (rc and passport )
But it mentioned that one id cart, or passport or rc

Do they give me new cart ?

Your situation is the same as my wife. As I understand it, you need only send either your passport or VALID BRP. As you are applying for pre-settled status, the requirements are different from those applying for settled status. As stated on the application form, evidence of your permanent residence card is needed along with the applicants passport. We only sent just my wife's passport and a copy of mine. (British citizen). I have already called the resolution centre and they confirmed I did not need to send my wife's BRC. It also states, that if you have a valid card, you do not need to give biometrics again. But not too sure on that one. From others on this forum, it seems like we all have to give them again. So presumably, we will be issued with another BRP. I will know more once the Home Office replies to our application.

The above is presuming you are applying from within the UK and are married. If you are applying from outside the UK or your not married but in a durable relationship, then you will need to send in your BRC.

Update on timeline.

First contact made to request form: 30th March (Details given 31st March after callback)
Application form received: 26th April
Application form completed and returned: 26th April (Special Delivery)
Application form received by Home Office: 29th April
Biometrics letter received: 11th June (Letter dated 5th June) including return of passports and previous residence cards - other documents not yet returned.
Biometrics given: 11th June
Indefinite Leave to Remain (Settled Status) granted 13th June (told by phone)
BRC to be received within 10 days (told by phone)

My wife missed 2 calls from the Home Office, yesterday and today. The caller said that she was responding to my complaint and asked her to call back. I called back today and asked for the person who had left the message. The call handler said that they had never heard of that person :-) She asked for my wife's reference number so she could check on the system. I told her it was a Surinder Singh application, because it is on a different computer system - not the system the EU Resolution Centre staff mainly access. She went off to check on the other system. She came back and said that my wife has been granted ILR and will receive her Biometric Residence Card within 10 days.

She has not yet received a Certificate of Application or a letter confirming the granting of ILR status, but I will update if any of these are received and when the card arrives.

I hope everyone on this forum will receive their status as soon as possible.
Congratulations!! I'm admin on a Surinder Singh Facebook group, where dozens of us have applied for EU Settlement Scheme since 27th of April. About 8 of us have received our biometrics enrolment letters, but no one has heard news of actually getting the status yet! I've shared your post with the group :-)
Hi
Can you let us know if anyone in your group have received their brc.
Thanks

Only one person has received it so far, she was a bit ahead of us. A big bunch of us (at least 20) just received our biometrics letters and did them in the last week, so a big bunch of us should get our pss/settled statuses in the next two weeks going by her timeline.

This is her timeline:

-Applied for settled status on 1st of May x
-Biometrics form and passports recieved back on 6th June x
-Biometrics Done on 7th June x
-Biometrics residence card ilr received on 19th June x

So 7 weeks in total x

Hi
Do you have to submit the evidence with settled status application that British Citizen is working in the UK after his return from EEA member state?

Thank you

You don't need to show that the British citizen is exercising or has exercised treaty rights in the UK for Surinder Singh pre/settled status applications. I sent my Brit partner's P60's in and some people have sent in payslips, but this is an alternative to or in addition to bank statements or to utility bills to show residency, not exercising of treaty rights

Makes me wonder how the only member here to get a decision was dealt with so quick.
Maybe to do with his complaint.

I think the member was one of the first to apply for the paper application, they received their biometrics letter a week before everyone else then received their settled status last week, maybe we will get it sometime this week or next? Here’s hoping anyways.
