I went to GNIB office and told them that I haven't received the letter despite it's saying application complete on the online portal.

They told me that I received a positive decision from the Minister. They will resend the letter and made appointment for next week for me to renew my IRP card.

I have applied in December and I have met all criteria of the scheme except I have never worked. However I have good employment prospects due to my degree.

If you have any queries let me know.
You went to INIS office in Dublin? And you gave your application number to them ? How long it will take you to receive letter from them ?

Yes this was Dublin

Registered post in Dublin takes 1-2 working days. So I should receive it on Wednesday.

They also gave me appointment sheet for Monday. So in case where letter doesn't arrive, I can still renew my IRP on that day as the person who signed the sheet told me.

I am not familiar with immigration services outside Dublin. I think it might have been easier for her to help me because Unit 1 Division was there and they were contacted straight away. It also depends on who you get. The lady there sorted me out and was really helpful.

I was comfortable coming in and talking to them because I still have a valid permission to be in the state.

So it's something you need to weigh in on and decide whether you want to travel to Dublin or talk to them locally. Maybe try local first.

You took the right approach by reaching your local immigration, I myself regretting for not contacting them sooner but surely I will visit my local immigration tomorrow and will let you know all what happened 😅 wish me luck !!!

Thanks guys.

If you live outside Dublin maybe check with your local immigration service first. Might save you the trip.

I spoke to reception and they directed me to someone else who was able to help me. I received my letter today.

Hi Lynx,

Thanks for your update and Congratulations.

I am sure you would have already mentioned here but could you please again tell us,

1. When did you arrive in the State?
2. When did you apply for the scheme?
3. When you saw completed status of your application?

Thank you

Look if your application is complete and you're not getting your letter you should be persistent. If your local immigration office doesn't reply to you, visit the Dublin office and if that doesn't work write a complaint.

The department already made a decision in your case so there isn't much to risk anyway. Just be polite.

To be honest if she checked and that's what she told you it's best to wait for their reply. You can Google INIS customer service.

Hi all.
I submitted my application in December.
Got positive response in the 3 week of April
Just got my IRP today 🙏🏻
congratulation

my 2 years gap killing me . after my visa expired i did no effort, i mean documentry effort to prove

Hi RZee may I ask which documents did you send them explaining about your effort to remain in the State?
I got the same question from them. Would be great help

Thanks
Immigration help group advice me to send an affidavit explaining everything about my efforts , so i did . you need to write an affidavit , explain your efforts (if you dont have documentry proofs) and any solicitor will verify stamp that. ( immigration solicitor will kill you with fee so go to any other solicitor) normally solicitor charge you few euros, I paid a blue note for 2 pages.
RZee, Any luck? I am facing the same problem. I even got a letter from an organisation which deals with immigration cases and sent it but they want further evidence for efforts that I made to remain legal in the State. Don't know what exactly they're looking for to be honest. Can you mention a few things which you included in the document? Also, can you please direct me to someone who would know exactly what type of proof or evidence they are looking for? Would really appreciate
Thnaks

Nothing . Still waiting over 8 months . I sent them a simple affidavit explaining about my efforts ( I have no documentry evidence to prove). On 14 may. Now I have very litle hope because they ask me twice for same things and I believe its very hard to satisfy them (If they dont want to understand the circumstances of person who got stuck in this situation). Anyway we have no choice just sit and wait. For them we are not LIVING BEING but a number on a file.

Did you try contacting a lawyer? I think they'll speak the language which they would understand. Don't worry about the money. I think you should go and sort legal advice.

You guys should ask your local TD to put parliamentary question to Minister about the number of applications completed. At least it will give you an idea of where you are.
