ILR tier 2 super priority, appointment needed?

Post by cristiano007 » Mon Jul 08, 2019 12:51 pm

Hi all,

I am soon applying for ILR under visa tier 2 using the same day service.

I’m confused about appointments.
As I understand, I can submit my application online and normally obtain an answer under 24h (with the super priority service). Is there a need to book an “appointment” as well? What would be the function of that appointment? I have seen it in various topics but I’m not sure if it applies for super priority.

Thanks a lot!
Best

Yes you have to book an appointment, it applies to ALL immigration applications. Your appointment is for document check and biometric enrollment.

There is no guarantee that you will get a decision within 24 hours. Super Priority costs an extra £800.

I understand, thanks!

My 1st tier 2 general visa was issued on 08/08/2014.
Does the 5 years continuous period end on the 08/08/2019 or on the 07/08/2019?
When we say 1 year, we normally mean 365 days, so I'd assume the answer in this case is the 07/08/2019, am I right? Which would then mean the earliest I could apply for ILR would be 10/07/2019?

Thanks a lot in advance! :D

Best.

You have put 08/08/2019 in this link, does it mean that’s when the 5 year period completes, and not on 07/08/2019?

5 years complete on 07.08.19 minus 28 days
Use link calculator for exact date.
It’s not 10/07/19

Why not 10/07/2019? Here is what I did:

08/08/2014 + 5 years = 07/08/2019

Then

07/08/2019 - 28 days = 10/07/2019

😂
Your not counting 07/08 day in the calculation.
Open the calendar on ur phone. Start counting backwards from 07/08.. 28th day will fall on 11/07
Now count forward from 10/07 and 28th day will fall on 06/8.

Gosh, for the sake of ONE day and the risk of losing £3k with a refusal for applying too early, as some of our poor members have recently discovered.
