How hard is it to get an EEA dependant ink stamp in Calais when I’m travelling with my German mum

Post by Meldeldel » Sat Jun 01, 2019 11:35 am

Hello everyone,
I’m a Turkish citizen born in Germany and I am a permanent resident.
My mum (German) and me want to travel to London via Calais and ask for a eea ink stamp at the border. I am unfortunately not able to apply for a eea visa since I just found out about it and we want to travel in 10 days.
So my question is; how hard is it to get an eea ink stamp at the border? What questions will be asked? Also I still have a valid visitor visa for U.K. but it will expire 5 days after I arrive and we want to stay longer than 5 days.
Documents I will be showing:
Both of my mums and my passport
My birth certificate
Proof of adress
My German residence card
And a police certificate
All of the documents are translated.
Thank you!

How old are you?

If older than 21, you will also need to prove financial dependency on your German mother.

I just turned 20 so I don’t have to prove that right ?

If you are younger than 21, then you do not need to prove dependency.

Are you moving here permanently or for a visit?

Hey,
We want to move there.
So is it possible to get the eea permit at the border in my situation?
I really appreciate your reply!

Post by Meldeldel » Tue Jun 04, 2019 2:38 pm

Will I be able to apply for pre settled status if I’ve lived in the U.K. for a week only?
And what documents do I need
Thank you

Can I get a visa extension at the border?

Post by Meldeldel » Wed Jun 05, 2019 11:55 pm

Hi,
I’m travelling with my German mum and I still have a valid visa. My visa will expire a few days after coming to the U.K. and we want to stay a few days longer.
Would I be allowed to stay a bit longer if my mum is with me?
Thank you for your time

Can I ask for a eea dependant stamp without a article 10 residence card??

Post by Meldeldel » Fri Jun 07, 2019 3:59 pm

Hello everyone,
I want to travel to the U.K. with my German mum and I do not have a article 10 residence card. Only a permanent residence card.
Can I still ask for the stamp ?

Not unless you are living and exercising your Treaty Rights in the UK before 31/12/2020 (assuming you are an EEA national).

Pre-settled status
You must have started living in the UK by 31 December 2020 (or by the date the UK leaves the EU without a deal). You can then apply to change this to settled status once you've got 5 years' continuous residence. ... You can stay in the UK for a further 5 years from the date you get pre-settled status.
Apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (settled and pre-settled ...
