Hello,
My wife recently had her spouse visa application refused on the grounds of not meeting the English Language requirement (our fault, as we assumed her standard Academic IELTS wold be accepted for the spouse visa process, frustrating but ultimately our own fault for misunderstanding).
She has since taken the A1 UKVI SELT test, and we are going to reapply next week after she picks up her test result.
In the meantime we are updating all the supporting paperwork (updated bank statements, payslips etc for financial requirement), but I wanted to double check as to whether she would need a new TB Certificate. Her current TB test expires 20th September, so it would still be valid for the application, but would have expired by the time she is accepted for a visa and able to travel.
Would we need for her to get a new TB test so that it is valid for the period when she enters the U.K. or is it ok to reapply knowing it will expire by September?
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, as we really want to get the new application done as soon as possible and don’t really want to spend more money than we have to.
