Hello Opp19,

When did you first request the update (after 6 months or before ) from home office and what was the response wording.

Hi, its April 2018
I made my application in March and it’s 4 months now. Every my request I’m getting the same generic email says All application are process in application receipt date order and therefore it will take a while longer for consideration. But they already processed May application as well.

This mean my application still not allocated to a caseworker ?

I requested first update after 6 months, after that every month
Its always that reply: with little bit change of sentences and words
I understand that you application is currently under consideration and the Home Office will contact you directly regarding their decision.
We can confirm Mr ...... submitted an application for Naturalisation on 27th April 2018, which remains under consideration. As part of the application process, the Home Office routinely conducts enquiries with both internal and external agencies. The extent and length of time taken to complete these varies according to the particular circumstance of each application.

Please be advised that it is not possible to provide a timescale for a decision to be issued, as this will depend on the findings of any of the previously mentioned enquiries and a full consideration of the case.

A progress letter was sent out to Mr......on 16th Jan 2019 advising him of the above and assuring him that as soon as we are in a position to reach a decision we will notify him accordingly.

I hope the above information clarifies the current position for you

Cases are allocated to case workers once all their internal and external checks are done, once allocated they will assess the findings and then they make decision

Hi, have you received anything from HO so far? Just curious if you have also lived in any Middle Eastern country prior coming to the UK? Or you have only lived in Pakistan?

What if they have sent your letter several months ago and was lost by post office, how would one know?

I wish HO would start using guaranteed signed for letters in addition to sending emails to let applicants know a letter is on the way, and should be expected within a week or so!

It's really puzzling how some applications can take up to a year, while others have received an approval within a couple of weeks!

Home office just lying to all applicants. They pick few applications randomly for checks and all others are process without any check. This cannot happen by most gets their decisions in few weeks or months and some others in years.

Serious problem.

Do you think Home office is staffed by incompetent liars? Its so easy to assume things when you are totally in the dark about the procedures followed by people working there. Just like you do a job and follow instructions, they do theirs and are answerable to people. NOBODY gets through without the mandated checks and NOBODY is victimised on the basis of country of origin or race. Get your facts right.

This a note to members here to desist from making baseless claims, spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories on HO nationality procedures. We do not know what form of checks are involved but there is no question that some applicants are viewed as low risk while others are scrutinised more. Being frustrated for not hearing from HO for months is completely understandable however spreading baseless rumours and conspiracy theories here is NOT acceptable.

My view based on the experience of current and past members. Also on the base of processing time.
