My husband has applied for his visa too, he did priority. This is our 4th week, so we are praying to hear something back very soon.

Yours was the only one after ALOT of reading that was at a similar time to mine. Do you know what I can type or Where I can read more priority timelines?

I've applied for a spouse visa for my wife, here's my timeline:

Email from Sheffield stating "Your Application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer: 6 June 2019
Email from UK decision making centre stating: Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets: 12 July 2019 (sent on the 60th working day)
Phoned Local MP: 15 July 2019
Decision Made Email: TBC
Passport Returned: TBC
Visa Approved (date on letter): TBC

75 working days since biometrics and still no decision

I’ve sent them a paid email on 17 July 2019 asking for an update on why it’s not straightforward, I got a reply on 24 July 2019 “ your application has been escalated to the relevant team and there should be a reply within 15 working days?
Then on 30 July 2019 got another email stating “The processing of this application has not been straightforward. We continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we able to. We cannot give a timescale for when a decision will be made.
(This is the 2nd not straightforward email within couple of weeks from the first not straightforward email) I feel like this email is for them to buy themselves more time to decide on the application
what i don't understand is what’s so not straightforward about my case, the solicitor checked it before it was submitted and she said it looks like a straightforward case all the requirements are there, but I just don't understand what’s going on. I'm scared after all those days waiting, pain and stress it gets refused for a stupid reason.

Can someone tell me if they received this type of email before? If they did how long did it take UKVI to process your visa after that? And wither it was granted or refused? If refused what was the reason??

I dont think it has been 97 working days if you have applied in March. Would be 97 days in total and remember since March there have been 4 bank holidays.

Have you gotten ur passport with the visa stamped? or you just got a mail about decision being made?

Were you ever called by HO?

I had my Biometrics on the 20th of May, 2019 like u, but got the ECO mail about application being considered on the 6th of June, 2019.. and nothing after that..

Please do not post tier 1 entrepreneur dependent visa queries in this topic. This thread is only for spouse settlement visas. Members in this topic will have very little or no knowledge of your visa route and rules.

Your query should be posted in the tier 1 entrepreneur sub forum please.

They sent you an email/PDF with the decision? Did your partner retain her passport throughout the process?

Is the Email/PDF thing a new way of informing people of the status if it has been granted or refused?

If so, is this for all countries (spouse application from outside the UK?) or is it specific to only certain countries?

My husbands’ biometrics was the 16th of May.
He received the decision email yesterday, followed by collection email.
He picked up his passport today and the visa was granted - Glory be to God.

You should hear back from them anytime this week or next week. It is well. I pray everyone waiting would hear from HO soon.

Unless you have a complicated case, I would advise not to go through lawyers, do your research well, get all documents required together and search through this forum for help/advise cause the moderators are great (I found out about this forum after my husband had applied but reading through there are thousands in the same shoes who have benefitted from everyone’s advice and moderators).
And pray, even if you don’t believe, Pray that the end result would put a smile on your face.

We are just worried about the passport. We had the PDF email now 4 days ago (2 working days), but no clue as to when her passport can be collected. We have not been informed by VFS collect?
