BRP mistake

Post by jorge54 » Thu Aug 15, 2019 9:06 am

Hi,

I received my BRP for my spouse visa a week and a half ago; but it had a mistake on my name (adding a random letter to it) I immediately reported it with the BRP team link but it took about 10 working days to get a response (which was today 15.08.19).

When I was confirmed the approval of my visa I planned a trip in Spain. This without knowing the mistake that the brp would have.

The BRP team has told me that they've sent a new BRP, but it is very unlikely that it will get here before my trip. I still have the BRP with my misspelled name as well as my previous visa (which is still valid- not expired yet)

I am planning on taking both previous visa and misspelled BRP with me; as well as a copy of the email confirming that the new BRP is on its way.

Will this be enough to not have any issues when re-entering the UK?

Thanks

If the new corrected BRP has been sent then you will be carrying cancelled visases/BRPs. Better to wait & replan your travel to avoid any inconvenience to your holidays.
