UK and Ireland Share Immigration Data

Post by webguru » Thu Aug 15, 2019 11:53 pm

Hi Guys,
Is it true that UK and Ireland share immigration data? It also includes travel data as well ? If you write single in application for visit visa to UK and married in visit application of Ireland they can find out this ? If you have already UK visit visa stamp on passport and want to apply for Irish visit visa, Ireland would access or search your data from UK ? thanks

All visa application data is shared in Common Travel Area.
Why would you want to lie about your marital status?
Whether they decide to perform a search on you, that depends on your credibility - travel history, immigration history, work, balance of your bank account etc.

They do.

A friend of mine overstayed in the UK for few days an year back. Last time when he came to Ireland, the flagged him and told him that they are aware of his overstay in the UK.
