CH2 form - partner details

Post by ASIF82 » Mon Aug 19, 2019 12:42 pm

Hi all,
I recently applied for child benefit for my 2nd child. I completed CH2 form without providing my partner details and sent it to HMRC. My partner is still not entitled to benefits but I am along with my children.

hmrc has requested partner details and has suggested that they would refuse the application if I don't provide it.

Can you please advise. I don't want to provide partner details as it may affect there future application for ILR.

THANK YOU

You must provide their details where asked for on the form. If you are claiming in your name, it has no effect on their visa/ILR applications.

Leaving their name out implies you are a single parent, which you clearly are not, and could be considered benefit fraud.
