Post by Lindsay20 » Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:20 am

I am applying for indefinite leave to Remain ,I have a child that is not my husband’s and got her while we are married .my husband is ok with it now.
But now am worried it’s going to affect my application.
Do I put my child birth certificate on application?
There is a question in application that asks do you have a child that is not your partner s ? Yes
Do they need birth certificate then?

They are not asking you about the details of your couple but what written in the Birth Certificate.

You write according to the Birth Certificate.

Thank you for replying

The name of the father is on her birth certificate not my husband ‘s .
It only because they ask if u have any children that are not your partners that’s why I thought I have to give birth certificate

If they ask, the answer would be "YES" as you have a kid with someone else and this appears in the birth certificate.

My question is do I give them the birth certificate or not?
They don’t ask for it?

If they do not ask for it then there is no need to provide it

If you want. But it they didn't ask, there is no reason to go and start talking about something that is not even a central piece of this application.

Your ILR has nothing to do with your love child
