Apply ILR under different visa than main applicant

Post by surian83 » Tue Sep 10, 2019 4:14 pm

Hi,
My wife is currently holding a Tier 2 General visa and she is applying for ILR now as she has completed 5 years. But i am on a Tier 2 ICT long term visa and we are living in UK for 5 years together married now. I would be eligible for ILR in long term residency route in a few years. But is there an option for me to apply ILR now along with my wife though i am in a different visa, but we are married and been together for 5 years? Thanks.

No there is not. You need 5 years residence as a tier 2 dependent to qualify for ilr with your spouse.

Your visa category does not qualify.
