Hi, am an international student applying from Africa and am confused, I applied for my visa just this week and I want someone to clarify something for me.
It's about the 28 day rule for your bank statement
On my bank statement it's stated from 3-04-2019 to 3-07-2019 and I applied for the visa on 2/09/2019.
Is my bank statement still valid?

Unfortunately it is NOT , bcz should be no more 30 days old from day of submitting your application, if u already gave ur biometrics i think u will lose the fees,and AR will not help you, u need to re apply, if u didnt give ur biometrics and docs withdraw your application and make your bank statment ready again.

Thank you shariffk, I submitted two bank statements by the way
The other one also states from 02-07-2019 to 1-09-2019

And the application was submitted 2-09-2019, is this bank statement valid?

This will be valid but should have all the needed funds hold in it for 28 days before the submission day,if this account doesn't show the full amount u will not get yhe maintance points.

Firstly, you need to have some amount in your bank account for 28 consecutive days, which means the money must not be touched for 28 days (must not go below-required amount depending on your tuition fees and maintenance fee).

Secondly, when you print out your bank statement, you must use these statements before 30 days for visa submission. example, if you print it out today 15/9.2019, you must use it during your visa submission before 13/10.2019.

Lastly, bank statement must be signed with bank logo, headings with your bank details and account number on it.

How can I calculate the maintenance fee?

If you are studying in London, you must have at least £1,265 per month of your course. If you are studying outside of London, you will have to show £1,015 per month of your course for 9 months.

So the total Bank statement should be the Tution fee + Maintenance cost.
