Query on ILR - 10 Years Long residency

Post by Chandu333 » Sun Sep 15, 2019 7:11 pm

Hi All,

Hope you all are doing good, can anyone please advise on below query?
What are the documents required to submit at the time of ILR for 10 years Long residency route?
Do we really need any letter for an employer if a Tier 2 ICT holder is applying in this route? or only the passport visa stampings and Biometric cards are enough, please advise
I believe the continuity should not be broken 180days at a time, not in a year, ex: if a person had more than 180 days in a year that won't be taken consideration into this route?, as long as he didn't have the continuity not broken more than 180days at a time, thank you very much your support in advance

Have you not read any of the recent topics to get an idea?? It is minimal documents.

NO!

Yes.

Any single absence of 180 days or more in one go breaks continuity of residence and no more than 540 days absence in the whole 10 years. There is no discretion on this and you cannot split your absence into two 12 month periods.

Thank you for your kind reply, I had a doubt before this 180 days, would they calculate in a year or would they consider only a single break in case if had any, (Ex: in a situation where the applicant is within UK throughout the 10 years period but wherein one year, if he was outside in UK for first 5 months and then next 1 month within UK and then next 4 months outside UK, if this situation still he is eligible to apply ILR under 10 years route and his clock won't reset start after the first 5 months outside from the UK, please advise, just to make sure my understanding is not wrong.

Employer letter is required for ICT Tier 2 applicant?

Post by Chandu333 » Fri Sep 27, 2019 6:23 pm

Hi,

Can anyone please suggest, if a Tier 2 ICT applicant is applying for ILR under 10 years route, does he require any Employer letter from employer to submit for ILR? or it's not required, submitting the passport stampings and biometric cards are enough, could you please suggest.

Thank you for your kind reply, in case if the Tier 2 ICT applicant had 180 gaps during a calendar year but not continuously, in this case, still any letter from the employer is not required for Tier 2 ICT applicant under 10 years route for ILR, could you please suggest?
