Hi all,

I can HO on Monday and a lady who rushed me told me she has escalated it and I should get an email in 4-5 working days. I didn't get any email to date. Today I called again, a lady picked and told me the option I took to talk to her was the wrong one and that I should cut the call and call again and pick option 4. I called and realise option 4 was wrong and that the lady was misleading me. I called again, this time got a man who took my details and said he will escalate it. I don't know if I can trust these call center people.
This is sad how HO is treating and handling our work. Very bad.
The call centre is outsourced to a third party agent. You are not speaking to HO staff directly!! The call centre has minimal access to your application and details.

I understand. But for them to mislead me into picking an option which is not right is a new low.
I know they escalate issues but to lie to people that you have escalated their issues only to find out it wasn't is another things.

Hi All

I submitted my application online on 04/09/2019. attended the appointment on 05/09/2019 - 9:30am
no email or anything.
my legal representative emailed the HO yesterday and got a reply said- they are expected to make a decision by 20th Sept, and will write to me again if there is any more delay.

Does anyone experiencing the same thing as well ?
This is interesting.

May I ask if you have used the super priority route? This can only mean they are running two to three weeks behind schedule.

What I don’t understand is why some applicants applied after me have received the response and some have even received the decision on the same day afternoon.

:(

Hi All,
Thank you for all your posts, they have really helped me these last 3 weeks.
My experience

Applied 23/08/2019
Biometric Appointment and Document submission at Croydon 24/09/ 2019 extra £100

No email or correspondence for the next 5 working days even though it was a super priority service
Phoned UKVI using the number i found on this forum 2/09/2019
Raised a case and got generic email 3/09/2019 "they aim to treat application by end of next working day otherwise will issue refund"

Did not hear from them for another 5 working days, kept checking right-to-work website (which I also found here)
Phoned them again on 9/09/2019, the agent said the case is still open and cannot open another one or escalate and I should wait till wednesday 11/09/2019

I phoned again on the 11th, the Agent asked if I got any correspondence last week (3/09/2019) I said no I hadn't and I emphasized it was super priority service, The agent said they will ensure I get correspondence via email and phone call within the next working day.

Got another generic email on the 12th, "someone is looking into the case and a decision will be made soon"
Checked right-to-work website at 10pm yesterday "No limit to work" but up until now no email acknowledgement that It has been approved.

In my case I applied a full year before the end of my Tier-2 visa which expires 09/2020, and i applied just before bank holiday during holiday season. Don't know if this impacted on application times

Hi All

Got a email from the Home Office just now

Saying the decision has been made and will receive decision letter in due course. Does it mean that my application is unsuccessful ?

Not necessarily. I think it’s a generic email as I remember reading about those exact words from another post here before.

Don’t read too much into it. You can check your BRP status here if that’s any helpful. It’s not guaranteed it gets updated too.

Congrats. 🥳 :)

Thanks

I received my letter in the post today dated 12/09/2019
ILR Approved, BRP to arrive within 7 working days.

I am going to request a refund because my application took 3 full weeks instead of 2 working days

Hi, sharing my experience. Submitted my biometrics and application on Friday 6th September in Edinburgh via super priority service. Haven’t got any emails or letters so far. Called the home office on 9th Sep, was told to wait for 5 workings days as the processing time is ‘poorly explained on the webpage’, it’s 24 hr to make a decision and 5 working days to communicate. Called again on 13th Sep, was told it was 5 working days after 24 hr period expired on Monday 9th, so 13th Sep was still 4th working day. Called again today and the lady asked me to confirm that i had not received anything in today’s mail. She then agreed to escalate the issue for me. Took my details and told me the home office would contact me within 3-5 working days. She also said i would get an email confirmation of the issue being escalated. Still haven’t got any emails, will be calling them tomorrow again to confirm that they actually escalated it. No change on the right to work webpage either, still states my current work permit expiry date. Should have been a straightforward application, been living in uk for 11 years, been employed with Tier2 visa for the past 5.5 years, own a property in uk.

My husband applied in Glasgow, we have been waiting since the 26th of july. We used the super priority service and have escalated twice. First escalation they "had no record of" so they had to escalate again. Once you have escalated you have to wait a further 28 working days before you can escalate again. The email replies are generic usually, just bear in mind this counts as a reply and you then have to wait a further 28 days.

Hello,

My timeline is as follows:
Super priority Service - FLR
Biometrics Appointment: 10/09/2019
Email granted decision: 10/09/2019 < less than 6 hours
HO Letter: 17/09/2019 (royal mail-required signature)
BRP Card: 17/09/2019 (courier-required signature)

While I was waiting, I frequently was checking the prove to work site. In my case, it didn't worked because my BRP number had changed. FYI to anyone who is applying for the FLR. Not sure if this applies to other visas.

Good luck everyone :)

Based on feedback, it appears the right to work gov site isn't always a good indication of leave being granted.

Hello,

Did you receive a text from DX prior to delivery of residence permit from the Home Office?

Hi,

No, I didn't get a text but I went to DX's website and used their online chat service to see when it was going to be delivered. Hope this helps :)

Hi, could I know how you ask for a refund? Through email? Which email address?

I'm also waiting for my BRP but not received it yet.

Thank you!
