Tier 2 General - Depandants visa

Post by Stompel84 » Mon Sep 16, 2019 12:52 pm

Good Day,

I hope you guys can assist me wit the following questions.

I am currently on a Tier 2 General Visa expiring in 2024.

I am bringing my wife and child over as dependents.

I will be applying for their visas end of September and they will fly 10 December if all goes well.

So my questions:

1. What is the earliest you can start the visa process?
2. Regarding the maintenance I m already in the UK and my COS stated Y for funds. There is no letter stating that its for family etc although it does say "Tick to certify maintenance for migrant (and dependants, if applicable): Y .Do i still need to show bank statements as i m already here and they are traveling afterwards?

Thanks

3 months before intended date of travel. Remember that she will only get a 30 day visa vignette initially.

Clarify with your sponsor but it should be ok.

Yes, but make sure you are very clear on an intended travel date as otherwise if you don't make it very clear and HO issues a visa from date of decision, it is almost £200 each to get a new visa vignette.

I have had word from my Sponsor.

"Tick to certify maintenance for migrant (and dependants, if applicable): Y

The above is only applicable if your family entered with you ,if they are coming afterwards you will need to proof your maintenance with the bank statements etc.

I believe an original or stamped at the branch.

There is a few requirements if its not original.

ou can find that on the home office website.
