ICT Tier 2 Main Applicant to Dependent Switch

Hi Team,

Could you please help me out with my scenario

I am on ICT Tier 2 long term visa and its expiring on Oct 28th 2019 after the tenure of 5 years. My wife is on same ICT Tier 2 long term visa and she has currently submitted an application to extend her visa by another year. Her bio metrics is scheduled for 1st week of October. I plan to be her dependent once my visa gets over.

1) Can I initiate dependent application request now before she gets her visa get extended ? If I wait for her visa to get extended, my visa will get expired and I will have to go back to India and raise a dependent request from India. I am trying to switch from within UK

You should have applied at the same time she did.

You must apply before your visa expires.

Does that mean I can still apply for my visa while her application is filed with home office and is awaiting bio metrics ? Can I apply for being her dependent before she gets a valid visa extension ?
