@masterboy123 as soon as the Bill of minister Flanagan becomes law. His officials will “make all necessary arrangements for the next citizenship ceremony”.

So what do we think?
Will the next ceremony be at the end of Oct or Nov?
As per INIS they need 4 weeks to send out the approval notifications. So it may not be until the end of Nov?

I call last week and they said we are hoping for end of year (December) but nothing confirmed.
They will be no ceremony in October if we follow 4 weeks rule.
Now think about mid Nov or early December if everything super fast else it goes in January 2020.

They never had a ceremony in January but I wouldn’t be surprised

You also have to consider the thousands of gnibs they are holding from people, hopefully their will be a ceremony in November because they all go on holiday in December

There is no item relating to citizenship in Dail Schedule for next week

https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/dail-sched ... 2019-10-01

I think they will put on schedule on 2nd week of October after 8 Oct appeal if needed

Which item? I can't see one. The Minister has already said they're waiting for the Court of Appeal to hear the Jones case at 10.30am on 8th Oct so I'd be surprised if it comes up in the Dail before then.

The way Irish system works ,i think next ceremony is in November but not 2019 in 2020.
Never expect anything before next Summer.

We have to try not to be discourteous to each other. Everyone is perfectly entitled to express their views, even though you may not like it.

Send them an email after reading your post - received exactly the same response, also from team 4. On stage 2 since March (posting for my partner)

Can members kindly only keep this topic for updates relating to the court ruling and NOT a running commentary or update about where in the process each applicant is. There is a separate citizenship discussion/waiting topic for such posts.

Yes. It all depends on the outcome of the Jones vs Minister for Justice High Court appeal on Tuesday re need to change legislature.

This could still throw a spanner in the works.
The Chief Justice has warned cases could be put back to 2021 if there is not an “immediate” increase in the number of judges on the Court of Appeal bench.
...
If judges are not appointed by next Tuesday, Judge Clarke said it is his “understanding” that the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice George Birmingham, would “have to make arrangements on Tuesday next to remove from the early list those cases which had been promised a speedy hearing”

Yes! Loads would be in existential angst! I’m beating myself up for not applying in Feb ‘18 when I could!
No point crying over spilt milk though!

Thank you for that! Stages are clearly defined in that article and I was shocked when I discovered that there are only 61 people in Tipperary going through ALL applications for citizenship! Out of these, 8 man the phone line twice a week... makes all the sense in the world! They defo need to recruit more!
