Extending the flr (m)

Post by jamess31 » Sun Sep 29, 2019 9:05 pm

Hi guys i was on here 2 and a half years ago , you helped me through the first half of my flr(m) visa. Thanks again for all the help.
Can't find my last thread so i;ve had to start a new one.
The time has come for the extension.I just wanted to now has anything/much changed in the last couple of years ? Do i apply for the same one and just state that it is the extension ?
We have 2 months left on the current visa so starting to get all the bits and pieces together now.

Now my wife is working full time can she use her earnings as financial proof or will i have to use mine again? or can i just include mine as back up anyway (she earns over the required amount )

I will be back to annoy you when i run into a few walls.

Cheers

James and Yeni

Whoever is earning sufficiently and able to collect the necessary documents more easily such as 6 months of payslips with corresponding bank statements and employer letter then can use his/her income alone by skipping the income of other partner under category A if you working from 6 months for same employer.

One change probably worth mentioning is that the process is entirely online now. Going through the online application form linked below will provide some guidance on the documentation you will be required to upload as evidence.

I'm just a guy on the Internet who immigrated to the UK. My opinions are based on my experience and interpretation of the immigration rules and should not be considered legal or immigration advice; your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the reply guys.
I roughly know what i need to do but its good to have that reassurance i'm doing it correctly!

Possibly a silly question but With the brp, will she need to redo this or, as she already has one can they just reuse the info from the current one and transfer to the new one ?

cheers

Each visa application requires a new BRP.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Only send these with employer letter as your wife income alone is enough

You will need A2/B1 ielts life skills test for meeting English language requirement and also 6 piece of documents in joint named or 12 if individually named covering the last 2 years from at least 3 sources.

oh yeah we have the ielts a2 already

for the 6 documents in joint names we have
-Land registry completion
-title absolute
-estate agent transaction details
-house contract of sale
-house contract for conditions of sale
-mortgage letter
-letter from solictiors

these range from about november 2018 to june 2019

My wife also has dentist letter to previous address
v5 form for the car to current address
bank statement from lloys, current address
letter from barclays current address

the utilitie bills are all in my name and council tax just has 'the homeowner'

do you think these will be sufficent ?

You seems have sufficient documents. Spread all these documents with 3-4 months gap by making sure that they cover previous 2 years. Also remember you can attach any document addressed either or both of you.

Hi again, we've now submitted our application but im having worrys about one particular question in the UK immigration status
The question was' What type of visa, leave to enter or remain or other permission do you have to be in the UK?

We have answered 'famiy' but im thinking we should have put settlement.
What do you guys think, will it make a big differece or am i best of to cancel and restart the application ?

thanks

ha haa i know, these applications play with your mind.
main thing i was worried about was being put on the 10 year family route as opposed to the 5 year route we were going for.
