Final Update - Our EU Settlement Scheme timeline below for Pre-Settled Status (with additional details for reference, comparison):

Applicants: EEA wife + EEA daughter + Non-EEA spouse (yours truly) with EEA2 BRC

2019.09.07 - All 3 applied w/ Android App and completed the online form
2019.09.07 - Wife and I receive our COAs
2019.09.19 - Request for evidence of wife’s residence over last 6 months
2019.09.19 - Further evidence submitted
2019.09.20 - EEA wife receives Pre-Settled Status
2019.09.23 - I receive my Pre-Settled Status
2019.09.24 - EEA daughter receives her COA
2019.09.24 - EEA daughter receives Pre-Settled Status

Some extra details...

- my application, as well as our daughter's, were linked to my wife's application number
- my wife's automated checks were unsuccessful, so we uploaded council tax bills from February 2017 to the present day and her P60s (to April-19) and payslips (to June-19) as evidence of residence
- additional evidence submitted: last 6 utility bills and bank statements with my wife’s name
- evidence of marriage uploaded: scan of BRC, translated marriage certificate, extract from Swedish population register
- evidence of parent-child relationship uploaded: UK birth certificate

Best of luck to everyone still waiting and those looking to apply. I'm sure I'll be back here in about 2 years time when we go through the upgrade to full Settled Status.

Good Day! Hello guys, I'm just new here and I just need help understanding the processing time and decision making on the settlement scheme, both of us applied for this scheme via app and I've read it will take 1-4 working days to hear decision but it seems its not really that straight forward, however here's our timeline:

EEA husband: arrived in UK 2010 (Poland)
-No BRC/No RC (exercising EU treaty rights)
-Residence Documentation (blue card) 24.8.2017 (applied via solicitor)
-Applied for Settlement Scheme 09.9.2019
-Documents provided:
Passport
Residence Documentation
10 supporting documents (P60s from year 2011-present)
*Application received 09.9.2019 /
*COA received 09.9.2019 / 21.03 pm
*Status Confirmation: still waiting

Non-EEA wife: arrived in UK 2012 (Philippines)
-Visa EEA FP (vignette) 30.04.2012 - 30.10.2012 (father is Spanish Citizen)
-EEA Family Member Residence Card (vignette) 21.03.13 - 21.3.2018
-Married to EU citizen 06.10.2017
-Renewed Visa under EU husband (after 5 years living in the UK)
-Biometric Enrolled on 10.3.2018
-BRC issued on 19.11.2018
-Applied Settlement Scheme 13.9.2019
Documents provided:
BRC
NIN provided
**No supporting documents asked
*Application received 13.9.2019 / 09:42 am
*COA received 13.9.2019 / 09:43 am
*Status Confirmation: still waiting

=I and wife were living together since 2015
=my wife's BRC took more than 6 months after multiple calls, emails and escalation until they have finally sent her BRC

-I've been reading lately about the timeline of the decision making for the pre-settled and settled and it seems like its lottery draw, one thing I'm confused about is that my wife has her BRC which will expire on 01.06.2023, does this mean she needs a new one or does she needs to wait until it expires if ever she gets approved for the pre or settled? I read somewhere that her BRC won't be valid anymore after Dec. 2020

-when my wife was doing her application there was a message before clicking on Submit Application saying YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SETTLED STATUS with an undernote saying: THE TAX AND BENEFIT WE COULD MATCH YOU WITH INDICATE YOU HAVE BEEN CONTINUOUSLY RESIDENT IN THE UK FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS. Has any applicant had this before clicking on submit application? does this mean she actually has the SETTLED STATUS but its taking time for HO to send her the final decision?

-also we're expecting our first baby and will be born in March if we are to be approved of the settlement what application should we do for our baby? Will I (EEA) be eligible to apply for a British citizen after this? also with my wife as this will be her 2nd 5-year route being an EEA family member

Thank you for reading.

- Applied for PR in 2014. PR Refused
- Appealed in 2015. Appeal lost (citing lack of documentary evidence).
- Re-applied for PR in 2016 (as Immigration Judge from 2015 appeal advised me to).
- PR Application Refused again in 2016 (HO cited the same refusal reasons from 2015).
- Applied for LEAVE TO REMAIN as a parent of British Citizens (children) in 2017.
- HO requested proof that I am in my children’s lives in August 2019
- Proofs sent but was delayed in post due to August Bank Holiday so arrived late to case worker.
- Application as parent of British Citizen refused in August 2019.
- Applied under the EU Settlement scheme on March 2019 whilst waiting for the outcome of
application for LEAVE TO REMAIN as parent of British Child.

-Biometric for EU Settlement Scheme done May 2019.
- COA Received June 2017.
- HO Requested wife’s I.D & proof of residence on 14th June 2019.
- Wife’s I.D and proof of Residence sent to HO on 14th June 2019.
- HO called and offered me Pre-Settled Status on 18th June 2019.
- HO Offer of Pre-Settled Status Refused by me on 18th June 2019.
- EU Settlement Scheme Status Outcome – Settled Status Granted 10th September 2019.
- Card received in the post 20th September 2019

I know each application is different but to those weary, apprehensive and confused, I implore you to stay strong. Pray, cross all your T’s, dot all your I’s and leave the rest and it’ll surely happen for you.

Goodluck and Godspeed

I have been following this forearm for a while and got a lot of useful information. My timeline may motivate many people. Here is my timeline
Applied: 15/04/2019
Biomatrics: 22/04/2019
COA: 29/04/2019
Asked for divorce certificate: 27/07/2019 and submited on the same day.
Did too many call. Involved MP as well.
My application was retained right kind of application.
Didn’t provide the present ex wife id. Just gave them the expired one.
Granted settle status: 18/09/2019
Congratulations!

Almost like my timeline and same situation as well. Hope for us all then.
Thanks for your update
Daddyzico have you heard anything from them yet? I'm also in similar situation and waiting since 20 may.. No outcome yet.

Didn't contact my MP but was in a similar position to you and I called them again yesterday and said I was interviewing for a job and employer requested COA - they then gave me details of who to contact but also the lady on the phone was helpful and said she could see I'd been waiting over a month and would put a note on my case to escalate it.

Honestly it's so frustrating so email your MP but in the meantime keep phoning multiple times a day even and speak to multiple people because you may get through to someone who will escalate your case (who knows why the 40 phone calls I made before that didn't suggest escalating - seems to depend on who you get through to)

Good luck :(

My details:
Am non-EU spouse, EU spouse was granted settled status 16 Aug (1 days after applying)
Submitted my application for settled status: 16 Aug (I simply gave my NI number and they said it was sufficient proof of 5 years residence so my case should be simple)
Biometrics: 20 Aug
COA: pending
Settled status: Pending

What frustrates the heck out of me is a friend of the same nationality, exact same situation as me but a stay at home mom therefore no NI contribution history - submitted her application and had to submit 5 years worth of evidence of residence, got COA and settled status within 2 days. I can't fathom why, when we applied on the same day, hers was approved so quickly when it was more complicated and mine is pending
Have you received your CoA? I contacted my MP, all I need was my application number, my full name and address when I wrote the letter to him.

I believe because you already have an rc it's much quicker as they already have proof of your relationship and biometrics which is why you didn't need an appointment

Goodevening guys. Just an update and a quick question
Non eu applying for settlement scheme timeline:
Application submitted: 22.07.19
Biometrict done: 07.08.2019
Contacted the eu resolution centre twice (email and phone): 12.09.2019, they cant give me the satatus of my application, they said the caseworker will gonna contact me if there are more required docs to submit.
COA recieved: 30.09.19.

My question is, when you recieved the COA, will this be a guarantee you will recieved a positive result? By the way I applied for Settled Status.

Hi Kamote,

I’ve read that the COA is confirmation of a valid application under the EU Settlement Scheme.

I too I’m non eaa national .my time line is

Applied for settled status 6/9/19

Biometrics done 13/9/19

COA - still waiting

Status approval letter- still waiting.

My case is I separated from my eea partner, I don’t have a valid ID for my partner, all I have is P60s Bills and NI .
Just hoping for the best .
Hi Misfits, im just wondering wethere COA will guarantee that the Decision will come out with the positive result. As you said it means that my application is Valid, does it mean that the HO will not gonna require me further documents to support my application? And in your case, are you divorsed or seperated to your eu partner? My friend also submitted just the p60 and a marriage cert, and scanned of her resident permit, they both seperated, and her partner was not really cooperative. and after 2.5 months of waiting she recieved her COA. Hopefully you will recieved yours soon. Just wait for further instruction incase they require more documents. When I called eu resolution center before the lady said helping me to obtain my status is of utmost important to them😂 anyway just pray, and wait.
