Speed of HO

Post by casula » Mon Sep 30, 2019 10:55 am

Hi, it's been almost 4 months for me but still no news yet. Friends and some other people applied long after me successfully received the results. Even in this forum, July/August applicants getting the letters. I've heard that it all depends on the case officer. Some work fast, some work slow. Maybe I am on the hands of a slow working officer. I know some cases more complicated than others but can I just send an email to HO to ask how is my application progressing?

The standard time is 6 months. You should wait 6 months and only then email to chase.

Thanks aman90. Is this the correct email address to ask HO for update?

There are other email addresses I came across in this forum:
nationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk
nationalitysupportteamfmt@homeoffice.gov.uk
FurtherNationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Mine has been processing for 3 months and nothing yet. Very tempted to send email but wouldn't I just get the standard reply that it can take up to 6 months or even more? OP let us know if you do email and hear back.
