Ilr on the basis of 10 year long residency

Post by spreekhan » Mon Oct 07, 2019 5:27 pm

Hi
All this is questioned for my friend.
The new psw start from 2019 new admissions.
They eligible for new psw visa.

I have question that this psw visa will count in 10 year long residency visa.

As far I know It count

But home office web site it doesn't count in settlement.
I think not count in work permit.

Like example
Some get permanent job in psw visa.
After 2 year company give person work permit.
Than my point of view .
The need to do full time period again for work settlement.
Like 5 year than he eligible for settlement.
Because psw is not count in work settlement route.

But i will count in 10 year long residency visa.
Because its law full 10 year basis

Kindly update .if I'm wrong.
Thanks
Regards

I deleted your attachment as you have not blacked out the named persons email address, identifying a FCO employee.

The letter does NOT say it has been implemented.

It also clearly states it will only be open to NEW applications for students entering the UK in the 2020-21 will be eligible, after their studies.

The route was only ANNOUNCED in September and NOT implemented and it does NOT apply to current students. It does clearly state that those who graduate and whose visas expire before the route is introduced will not be eligible.

The changes to the immigration rules will likely only be passed around April 2021 with a future implementation date for the 2020-21 enrolled qualifying students.

All visas count for long residence. When HO says it doesn't count for settlement, it is the 5 year ILR route, ie Tier 1 or Tier 2.
