HSMP Approved ...MAINTENANCE FUND reqd. for EC or NOT?

Post by briltek » Fri Jul 11, 2008 10:12 pm

Hi All,
I got my approval letter for HSMP a month back and was preparing my docs to apply for EC. In the mean time, on JULY 30th 2008, Tier based system was implemented worldwide.

Perplexed at the moment whether MAINTENANCE FUNDS requirement applied on EC too...? Currently I have above 4000 POUNDS in my account but I didn't maintain it to be above 2800 pounds over the past 3 months.........

So can i apply right now :) or would have to wait for 3 months? :(

Please reply.....thnx

Call your embassy or consulate and ask them directly. Best bet is to wait the three months.

1. It will help if you make an effort to search the forum. There is load(s) of information already available related to your queries (EC applications, documents etc.).

2. Read information *freely* available on UKBA website regarding applicants with HSMP approval letters.

Yes! you are absolutely correct. I have to wait for 3 months, I went VFS office directly to get this clarified.

No Indian IT men required in UK

Post by sk1979 » Thu Sep 11, 2008 8:33 am

Did anyone heard about the news in Indian News paper: "Deccan herald" on 10th Sep, 2008. It was written that "No Indian IT men required in UK" :( .
What is prospect of Indian IT men who has already got HSMP approval letter and wish to go for Visa stamping.
What would be the job prospects.
Can anyone comment on this. :?:
