Spouse visa application for uk

Post by Nas1991 » Sun Oct 06, 2019 12:57 am

So, I have applied for spouse visa uk since back in August 18th and I have

recieved an email from the immigration stating:

Dear  xxxxxx

Regarding Visa Application:  GWFxxxxxx

Thank you for your online application which has been received at the UK

Decision Making Centre.  Your application is currently being prepared for

consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.

Now mind you, I've emailed them again and they've sent me this next:

Dear xxxxxxxx

Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International Contact

Centre.

With regards to your query, we escalated your case to the relevant

department. You should be contacted regarding your case maximum within 15

working days from the date of escalation.

Your patience is highly appreciated.

Kind regards,

UK Visas and Immigration

I need help, as I'm trying my best to get some answers.

That is fairly standard correspondence from UKVI, just means they are still considering your application. Your patience is highly appreciated.

Do you think, they'll most likely to contact me within the 15 business days?

Most likely, but I would expect them just to say they are still considering your application. As long as it's still within the normal processing time for spouse visas, they are unlikely say much and there's not much else they can do anyway. Unfortunately it's a rather busy time for UKVI trying to process the normal amount of visa applications plus all the EU settlement applications, so everyone is going to have to expect some delays and be patient.

So, I've recieved this email just today:

Thank you for your enquiry,

Regarding visa application and I can confirm that your application was last worked on 4th October 2019, we will conclude the decision as soon as we are able to. We cannot give a time scale for when the application but you will be contacted once it has been. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Is that good sign?

Did you apply priority or standard? And when was your biometrics date? Applications right now are taking around 55 working days from biomentrics for standards and pretty close to 30 for priority. That said, I've seen quite a decent number of priority applications which have been mistakenly put in the standard pile so are processing more at the mid 40s once they've been escalated.

Told you  It's a good sign that it's been worked on recently, but it doesn't mean anything necessarily. Given you're about 40 working days in right now, it seems they are a bit on the slow side but I wouldn't be too worried about it. There is no guarantee of service by a certain date so all you can do is wait.

Priority service is not guaranteed. We have many members waiting more than 90 days who also applied using priority service.
