Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 ICT dependent in-country switch delay

Post by shamshi223 » Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:44 pm

Hi,

I am switching from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 ICT dependent from within UK. My application was submitted on 22nd July, 2019 and Biometrics on 2nd Aug, 2019.

I haven't heard anything from the home office yet - its already the 8th week.

Does it take longer than 8 weeks? Is there a way i can reach out to get my application status.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks !

No way to check status, you simply need to wait to hear back from HO.

Additional Immigration health surcharge to be paid

Post by shamshi223 » Fri Oct 11, 2019 8:41 am

Hello all,

I had applied for Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 ICT dependent switch from the UK. After 8 weeks, i received a post from home office saying the application is delayed because i need to pay an additional immigration health surcharge. So if any one can help with below questions it will be really healpful:

1. IHS was already paid during the time of application - what is the additional fee then?
2. I haven't received any emails from home office on the next instructions to do the payment. How do i proceed with this?

Its been more than 10 weeks that i made the application. Any help will be much appreciated!

1. How much IHS did you pay? When does the main ICT visa expire?

2. Have you checked your spam/junk mail folders and that you gave them the correct email address? Also, what exactly does the letter state?

1. The mail exactly said -

Thank you for your permission to stay in the UK. Although we would normally decide your application within 8 weeks from the date it was submitted, unfortunately this is not going to be possible in your case.

A decision on your application has been delayed as you are required to pay additional immigration health surcharge.

I had paid an amount of £723.20 and my spouse's BRP is valid till Jan, 2020

2. I have checked my Junk/Spam folders but no mails from Homeoffice. I have written a post to home office saying the same but no response

I am worried that it's been more than 10 weeks. Please help

What is this amount made up of as IHS is a rounded figure never a pounds/penny figure?
All dependants £704 each person
What you have paid is the visa fee plus biometric fee and not IHS.

What is the CoS length of your spouse~?

Are you sure the expiry date is January 2020??

My Bad - you are right that is the total amount i paid. I can't see how much i paid for IHS separately. I will check into it

Main applicant BRP is valid till January 2020 extendable for next 3 years.

His CoS says end of work date - 31st Dec 2019.

Is this bad?

what you paid is visa fee.
IHS will be separate 400 per year(200/six month round).
check your bank statements, if don't remember how much you paid

Katanayi - will the spouse's BRP validity matter to process one's dependent visa?

Also will Home office send a top up link to pay the additional health surcharge please?
