Technical issue with BRP production

Post by Binues » Wed Oct 09, 2019 7:48 pm

I applied floor my ICT tier2 Visa extension in Croydon, in14th Sep under Super priority. I received the decision letter on the same day evening that the processing is successful and my BRP would reach me in7 working days. But I did not received my BRP and on27th Sep, i escalated online. On3rd Oct, i received a response by email that there is a technical issue with my BRP production and i will be notified once the BRP is available. it's 6 days now, no update. I called the BRP contact number, no help. I have to travel back to India on23rd Oct.
Is there any way to find out what the BRP production issue is?
Any way to get the BRP before i travel on23rd Oct?
Can any one help/advise?
Regards
Binu

You won't find out. Hope it's just a basic issue with the printer or something.

You have just to pray that you get your card before your flight.

Gosh.... but if I don't get this before my travel date. Will I be stopped at the airport from traveling back to India?

You won't be able to return to the UK without the brp card.

Brp is not checked when leaving the UK.

Unfortunately not.

Have you contacted DX Couriers to find out if they have a parcel for you?

Are you sure the address you put on the form is your correct home address and you haven't maybe missed a tried to deliver card?

Here is the contact page for DX:

https://www.dxdelivery.com/contact/

However, if you decide to go to India without the card, you won't be able to come back. The airline company won't let you board without seeing the BRP.

Yes, you won't get issues when leaving but when returning.

If you plan to go to India for good, then you are fine. Just travel without the BRP.

When leaving the UK, some airlines may ask you if you have a BRP or something. It's none of their business but some ask. But they won't prevent you to board to India if you have a valid Indian passport.

No as they will only send it to the address you put in your form or arrange for you to collect it from a customer service centre.

DX don't give mail to "someone" but to you only. So they may hold it then return it to the Home Office. But a friend of family member won't be able to get it for you.

If a spouse etc is at the property, they can sign for it. DX couriers also do not "hold" items till a person returns. They send the brp back to ho if no one there to accept it.

Absolutely. They don't hold it until the person returns. If they miss the person, they hold the package and the client has the option to schedule another delivery. Otherwise, it will be returned to the Home Office.

However that option is risky for the OP.

But did any one in the past who had this issue after decision was made, required to visit the visa office of home office again before getting the BRP. Or is this just a print delay as it read

It is a technical print delay as the email says. It is not ho that produces the cards. They are produced by another agency in Wales.

No requirement to go to home office again or a visa office etc.

No and no. You will simply need to wait and keep escalating.

These companies that do secure printing, have contracts to print IDs, biometric passports, official documents, sometimes even money... Their facilities are protected by cameras, armed guards, electric fences and canons may God protect us!

You can't show there and ask them to look for your BRP and hand it to you. You will be asked to leave at gun point. Sometimes you get into trouble just by looking for the address

I understand the security aspect.. but equally they need to be transparent... Its so ridiculous to believe that its a printing issue and even after repeated follow ups no update on what is the issue or how many more days it takes.. since my decision was made under superpriority on sep14 is been one month now and no update at all
