Strange !! Tier 1 Transitional 2 years ?

Post by bsa099 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 5:51 am

Recently, with hsmp approval letter i applied the hsmp Under Tier 1 Transitional arrangement, and the visa was stamped 2 years and visa type specified in passport as Tier 1/HSMP. When i referred back to embassy, they said the Entry clearance officer decided give only 2 years instead of 3 years.

Its Strange, whether Tier 1 is Generic across the world interms of Validity?
Can i appeal back? is there any problem.. pls suggest.

I've been told by my local visa application centre that it will be for two years in cases such as these. It is strange indeed.

According to pg 9 on http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... yguide.pdf it should be three years? Or am I misinterpreting it?

bsa099, were you told that you have to apply for EC and enter the UK within the 6 month validity period of your approval letter? That's what they told me.
