FPN for disposing litter

Post by qamargrt » Thu Oct 17, 2019 10:14 pm

Hi members,

I am in a process of applying naturalisation after ILR (from Tier2 route). I am a bit confused about one FPN(for disposing litter from the council) which I received about 4 years ago(2015). I have already paid and have no other convictions or offences after that period. My questions are as below:

1. Should I declare this for naturalisation application as it was not the case when I was applying for ILR?

2. If yes then which option will it fall as as they have the following options to select and I am not sure which option to select.

A criminal conviction

A penalty for a driving offence, for example disqualification for speeding or no motor insurance

An arrest or charge for which you are currently on, or awaiting trial

A caution, warning, reprimand or other penalty

A civil court judgment against you, for example for non payment of debt, bankruptcy proceedings or anti-social behaviour

A civil penalty issued under UK immigration law

No, I have never had any of these

I hope some one will shed a light on this.

Thank you.

Declare FPN. It has no effect. Choose : A caution, warning, reprimand or other penalty

Thank you Zimba for your response. I have not issues in declaring but only one concern is that as it was not declared in when I applied for ILR application can it effect my application based on the reason that why was it not declared while applying for ILR?

ILR and British citizenship have different good character requirements. For ILR only convictions should be declared. For British citizenship the rule of thumb is 'declare everything'. I know people who did not even declare FPNs and got citizenship
