Re: ILR SET (M) 5 years route

Hi.

Can you please enlighten me about my spouse situation?

My spouse was granted in June 2017 and current spouse visa will be expired in Dec 2020.

I suppose that my spouse needs to apply in December 2020 in order to get another 2.5 year extension which I suppose it will get extended until June 2022.

My question is when can my suppose apply for the ILR? Does it have to be after June 2020 when my suppose is able to put application?

Thank you.

ILR from spouse visa - out of country

Post by be123+ » Wed Oct 23, 2019 11:10 pm

Hi.

I have been trying to find information about the continuous stay for ILR under spouse and unable to find it.

Can I ask members how long the spouse visa can be out of country for purpose of ILR eligibility? I am not sure but I’ve read somewhere that it can’t be out of country for more than 90 days. Am I correct on this?

Thank you.

You are confusing this with an application for British citizenship. There is no absence limit under a Spouse visa for ILR.
