Ihs payment and visa duration

Hi all ,
My wife got tier 1 dependent visa from back country just from September 2019 to May 2020( because my visa will expire in May 2020) , but my question is they charge me for IHS around £1500 pounds , so can any one please show me the right way to clam that extra payment , because that should be £400 , as she got less than one year visa , thanks

You usually get your refund within 6 weeks of getting a decision on your visa application

Thanks zimba for your reply , actually it’d been 8 weeks now and I did not recieved the refund , can you please guide me how can I contact them to refund the extra payment , thanks

Refunds are issued automatically

I don't think ihs are refund automatically, I had an experience in 2016 with ihs and it took them a year to fund the money back and that was after I sent them an email which they did respond to say authorised payment and in some day I got the money back. So I advise to send them an email.

Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes to get a refund of ihs after refusal?
