Documents for the Naturalisation

Post by ZabicDrozda » Tue Oct 29, 2019 1:05 pm

Good Afternoon,

I would appreciate help with one matter (I couldn't find it on the forum, please close if already answered somewhere else)

I am about to send the documents for my naturalisation and I do have a passport and EEA National Identity card. In few places the application is asking me to provide a certain document. For Example:

To proof my nationality: Passport or National Identity Card
To proof my identity: Passport or National Identity Card.

What I am trying to figure out is whether I need to provide a separate document for each of categories or would it be sufficient to just send my passport.

It would be of great importance to me to keep my National Identity Card with me as I am planning to travel to my country.

I hope this makes sense and someone will be able to help me,

best regards,
Piotr

Hello

As an EEA, during my naturalisation, I sent them my passport and my permanent residence (the blue paper). I kept my EEA ID to travel.

Brilliant! Thank you so much,

also, if there is anything missing on the application (I hope it wont, but asking just in case) will they just decline my application or will they actually chase me to deliver missing documents?

best regards,
Piotr

Make absolutely sure all the most important documents have been scanned (Passport / PR card) - they have rejected applications for missing or incorrect PR documents. Anything else they are likely to ask for extra information and/or documents.

Sorry, I was sure I need to send the originals? Do I need to send them scans as well?

You do not send originals anymore.

You apply online. Then book an appointment with UKCVAS for document/identity check and biometrics.

You scan and upload all your supporting documents before your appointment.
