Tanks for the reply. so according to the law their main requirement is the time period of applicant's residency right? as you think the eu sponsors 5 years residency compulsory as well for the settled status..?
Yes 5 years Residency for Both EU and NON EU family member . 5 years EEA family member. If you are living in the UK for 10 years but EEA family member only 3 years you can't apply for settled status only Pre settled
UK Student Visa : 04/2004 - 09/2009
EEA Residence Card : 07/2010 - 7/2015
EU Settled Status: Confirmed on 16th July 2019
Naturalisation : Confirmed on 02nd Oct 2020
Passport Approval : 21st Feb 2021

I wish the best of luck to those who are waiting and my prayers are with them my God grant them what they want.my time line is as follows

Applied for settled status on 01/10/2019
Via app as i had resident card
So no biometrics

Submitted my partner passport copy on 24/10/2019
Got my status after 15 minutes of submition!
Yaaay!
Are you Retained Right Residence Holder after Divorce. Home office issued EEA residence card in Biometrics only from May 2015 and it's not even 5 years or is it because you married 5 years ago but EEA RC issued lot later
UK Student Visa : 04/2004 - 09/2009
EEA Residence Card : 07/2010 - 7/2015
EU Settled Status: Confirmed on 16th July 2019

Hi everyone,

So I have applied for me and my husband Eu settlement.

Me (EU citizen) :
Application submitted : 21 sept
COA : 21 sept
Decision : 8 oct

My husband :
Application submitted : 8 oct
Biometrics : 16 oct
COA:
Decision:

So we went today for the biometrics of my Husband, furthermore he don’t have any BRC, so the Eu settlement center told us that during biometrics, the first page of the passport is scan, so we don’t need to post it.
Now we are waiting for the decision to come... I hope it come fast as wherever he is going for job, they are asking him a BRC card 😟

(Good to hear that you received your decision already, soon will be your husband.
I saw that you waited 12 days to receive your decision. looks like the 5 days that show on the website doesn't apply anymore .
I'm Eu Citizen and applied last Sunday 27/10, so looks like my decision will take some time like yours)

I've applied for a pre-settled status as a non-EU spouse of a EU citizen in July and I'm still waiting for a reply.
I've made the application from within the UK.
My question is can I travel internationally whilst waiting for the result for my application?
(I'm worried about not being let back in)

I understand that the Home Offie (HO) does not recommend travelling while an application is still in progress, but given the extremely long processing times it's a very big constraint on people's lives. Xmas is approachig and I'd like to be able to make plans to visit family abroad.

I've posed this question to the Home Office multiple times, but 80% of time I'm told to call another number and 20% of time I'm given contradictory answers (ranging from yes, you can travel, but bring marriage certificate to the airport, to no, don't even think about it).

Does anyone know what the actual regulation states?

I have a friend got only 5 years visa on his passport
Non eu married to eu in 02/2015
He applied 2 months ago and he got this month settled statues

Is that means I can apply as non eu once I complete 4 years and 6 months since the date of the marriage certificate
Does anyone have similar experience

Thanks for your reply Ruthy.
Looks like they are very busy with so many applications, that we will need to wait longer to receive an decision.
Please let me know when your Husband receive any news and I will do the same.
( I have 15 years living in UK and I have permanent resident)
I hope your husband and me don’t have to wait much longer.

Hi Adam, my case is similar. I am separated from my EU spouse but still legally married. My
Family permit was valid from June 2013 to June 2018.

I applied for settled status 13 September 2019 but has not received anything since.

Just out of curiosity, will the scenario below qualify for settled status?

Non EU family member
Married 2012
RC granted 2016 after a long battle with the HO.
Pre settled status granted June 2019

Since I’ve been married since 2012 and been living with my EU wife all this time (7 years) don’t I qualify for settled status although I’ve not fully covered 5 years on the RC?

Thanks

Hi, I will be very grateful if anyone can reply to my message.

I applied for residence permit July 24th
Did my biometrics 9th of August 2019
Certificate of application received with no right to work(my sis is my sponsor).
It's been 3 months of waiting.
Pls is there a no I can call to know the status of my application?
Is it possible for them to change my no right to work to right to work?
My FP expires soon, should I be worried.
Swift messages will be appreciated

Hi All,
I thought I would post my timeline too.
I applied alone as a non EU spouse of French citizen married in 2008.
I had EEA RC from 2009 -2014 then Permanent Residence Card since 2014 (Stamp in passport)

EU Settlement Application timeline:
Online application: 06.09.2019 (I submitted a photo of my PR, a copy of my passport, a bank statement and a payslip).
Biometric done at Croydon: 11.09.2019
CoA received on: 04.11.2019 at 12h45 (by email)
Decision received 1 hour later: 04.11.2019 at 13h45 (by email): Settled.
BRC will be send by post within 7 days.

All the best to all those still waiting.
