Naturalisation eligibility

Post by npendkar » Tue Oct 01, 2019 11:05 am

Dear Friends,

i was just wondering if my wife is eligible to apply for naturalization?

She got ILR on 31/05/2019 based on SET(M)

i am British citizen since December 2015.

Please let us know if anyone needs any more info so that i can?

She could have applied as soon as she got ILR if she meets the 3 years residence requirement to apply as the spouse of a British citizen under Section 6(2) of the nationality act.

You need to submit what is asked for, nothing more and no unnecessary documents. It is not an immigration application she is making and citizenship has less/limited documents requirements. So not sure what all you were planning to submit from the ILR application.

Note she must be within the absence limit of 270 days for the last 3 years, 90 days absence limit in the last 12 months and she must have been physically present in the UK on the same date 3 years ago as the date she submits and pays online. Date of application is the online submission and payment date and not the ukcvas appointment date.

All jobs, with dates as best you can remember (HO do check).

but i have uploaded them after the appointment later same day, do you think it will be ok?

Congratulations Naresh! So, in your case, it basically takes only 16 days from biometrics appointment to ceremony letter? It seems the fastest case I have seen in this forum.
