Hi - did u use the premium service. I have a similar timeline to you but all earlier. Biometrics 22 August. Approval letter 1 september (weekend...weird?) Still haven't received the BRP or email saying it would be delivered

No i use normal service no premium and never recive any email but i did live chat with dx delivery give them my name and adress they told me delivery is due on this date so go to dx delivery page amd on comtact us page you will find live chat option tell them name and adresss they will tell you when is your delivery

Letter received 4/09, dated 1/09. Still haven't received the BRP and DX courier has no record. This is unnecessarily frustrating.

Hi I applied my step son 6 year old first extension now 13 week passed no reply from home office .if I contect my area MP .will this nagtive effect on my son application if mp ask to home office about application update thanks

This topic is NOT relevant your circumstances as you have applied for a visa extension and NOT a brp replacement card. They are completely different applications.

hello - which service did you hired? did you wrote them at all ??

what is the DX delivery page? im in a worst situation - went for biometrics in croydon on Aug 12th - still no letter. what can i do? is a lost BRP too.

Sorry to hear it i used normal service no premium and i went to croydon too for bimetrics I didn’t call them or anything i recive decision very quick and brp next day of decsion letter i was shocked myself too like how they done so quick will submitting files i added cover letter too saying in it that i need it urgent going to travel u can check it with dx delivery after decsion letter

There processing time is 8 weeks i think you should wait

My timeline:

Application Made Online: 14/08/2019
Biometrics Appointment: 22/08/2019
Approval letter by post: 04/09/2019 (dated 01/09/2019)
BRP not received after 10 business days
Lodged online informing BRP not received: 16/09/2019
Received Email saying BRP "recently produced": 19/09/2019 (letter advises within 3-5 days)
BRP received by courier: 25/09/2019 (letter dated 21/09/2019)

As the above timeline suggests they simply forgot to produce the BRP after approval, so make sure you inform the home office if u dont get it within 10 days of letter.

Although I'm still within the 8 week timeline, still disappointed about how long the process actually takes after approval letter.

1. It is not HO that produces the BRP. It is produced in Wales by another agency. There have also been well documented technical issues with BRP production recently.

2. Your process was realtively quick, many wait upto 6 months.

Application : BRP maiden name to surname change
Applied online: 30/10/19
Biometric appoitnmet booked: 1/11/19
Documents scanned and uploaded online:1/11/19
Biometrics submitted Birmingham: 4/11/19
Acknowledgement letter: WAITING
BRP received: WAITING

When I attended the biometrics appointment the person didn't even ask to see the original documents to the scanned uploaded documents. Expired and current passport were scanned. I still have my biometric card with my maiden name, she didn't ask if I should surrender it. Came home with passports and bio card and all my documents. Is that correct. Anyone with similar experience?

Hi Moneset. How you apply by solicitor or by yourself. And what is the fee. Do I need to book an appointment or I can send my all original document straight to home office.

I applied by myself. It was £180 online application. Someone here assisted with a link to the online application form.

After you apply online it directs you to a website where you can book an appointment, scan and upload your supporting documents. When you attend your appointment take your original documents with you. I took mine and Came home with them nothing was sent off. Hope that helps to answer your question.

Newbie here looking for some help if possible.
Im just about to go though the BRP process for the first time despite living in the UK for a number of years.
I've gone through the initial application form online (I have indefinite right to remain), I've been asked to supply/scan my current passport and proof of address as mandatory documents . There are a load of 'Other' documents I'm also being asked for, some I have (old passport with the IRtR stamp) whilst others are just impossible to source (ie. Annual proofs of me living in the UK). My question is: as these are classed as 'Other' do I need to supply these, or are they only requested to help their processes?

Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I've not had to do this before now as it was never needed.

You will need to provide as much evidence as you can that you have been living in the uk and did not leave uk for more than 2 years.

This could be done via council tax letters, gp/nhsletters, p45/p60, or any letter from dwp/hmrc, if you have been working then you can include payslips.

You can also include bank statements, or any letter from bank addressed to you.

Try to find as much evidence as you can so its easier for home office.

Bear in mind the above evidence has to start from the year you received your ilr until now.

Considering I've been here since I was 5, I was worried I would be stuck with no ID as I clearly wouldn't have much in the way of documentation from then. I can capture as much as I can such as school/college records as well as anything else I find to add as supporting documents

An hour after posting an update a knock on the door and courier with BRP card received!!! Aĺl done in 11 working days altogether. Normal processing service (except I paid £75 for a closer biometric appointment date is all.) My holiday early december back on track and hopefully no problems coming back in UK as passport surname matches BRP surname nowSo grateful from the bottom of my heart to all who pointed me in the right direction and advice. Your help is priceless. Many thanks.

I have a quick question sorry if it seems silly, I still have my old BRP card after receiving the new one today. Do I destroy the old one or keep it to send with future renewals/applications like ILR?

Lost my BRP on the 16th of October, currently on a Tier 4 Visa. My application timeline:

Lost BRP: 16/10/2019
Reported it lost: 17/10/2019
Biometric Appointment at Croydon: 18/10/2019
Approval letter: WAITING
BRP Received: WAITING

Before I lost the BRP I booked a flight home to Malaysia on the 1st of December. At first I thought I could postpone it but recently I've been met with news that my grandfather's health isn't doing so well and he doesn't have much time left

I opted for the Standard service since all my friends got their lost BRPs around 2 weeks after their appointment but mine is still not here. Theres about 2 more weeks to my flight.

What do you guys think I should do? Is there a number/email I can contact? Or should I just risk flying back to Malaysia without a BRP?
