Thank you very much,
My wife did not have to apply as she is irish
Also i never registered marriage only did nikah (islamic way) which makes her my durable partner not wife in the eyes of law.
Did send the passport of her and child plus bills, bank statements, landlord letter, benefit statements, altogether around 60 uploaded in the application system

Has anyone been having the same problem?

My husband is a non eu family member and had his biometrics taken 27/08/19 (I already had settled status prior to applying his). I called the agency a couple of weeks later to ask about the confirmation email they said he would receive but was told that they don't send one (so why tells that they do??). I called the Home Office a few days later to question this too and also questioned why his online application form says that he still needs to book an appointment for his biometrics... they said not to worry about it, that they have everything there and are just waiting for a caseworker to be assigned.

Now... I just found out that someone who applied for pre-settled status (also first UK Visa) 2 days ago received their confirmation letter stating that he should receive his card within 7 working days.

Does anyone know if the cases are assigned on a "first come first served" kinda basis or are they randomly distributed to agents? Because it makes no sense at all that someone who applied THIS WEEK already got an answer and those who applied over 2 months ago are still waiting for the confirmation letter! What's even more infuriating is that they told me that they don't send out letters/email to confirm that they've got the application when they clearly do.

My husband's only Visa is the ink stamp one he got at the airport which expires after 6mths, so we're quite concerned about this whole thing!

Hi,

I applied for my residence permit in July which is still pending, I am an EEA FAMILY member (my sis is our sponsor).
My question is should I apply for pre settled status for the kids while my application is still pending. Or which is the best scheme to apply for them.

Can anyone please guide me.
One of my child was born in the UK. but not a British citizen
Looking forward to reading from you.

Thank you

07/11/2019 - Online application
08/11/2019 - Biometrics done (had to fork out £100 to get an appointment this early, beware. Free appointments are minimum 1 month away in London)
09/11/2019 - Received CoA

I had expected to have to post my passport to the HO, but this doesn’t seem to be the case for me for whatever reason.

Awaiting decision now!

I am on the same boat no appointments available in Nov so had to pay for an out of office hour appointment £100 plus £45 for scanning documents (to then get told on the day I didn't need to pay for the 45 quid and to add insult to injury since it was "my mistake" I was told it was non-refundable).

In terms of timeline
- 28/10/2019 - Online application (option to apply by post selected as couldn't scan my residence card)
- 30/10/2019 - Biometrics done
- 01/11/2018 - Received COA

I had expected it would take a lot more to get the COA since it looks like some people get decissions very quickly after COA is issued however it doesn't look like the case for neither of us Juliav.

Good luck all.

Hi Diamond 45

I have submitted proof of relationship and bank statement proof of money transfer by me in her bank account. Actually I have made the application on her behalf online and made booking for biometric in Pakistan. Documents can’t be upload here so sent all required documents sent by dhl to her and i have paid the fee here to biometric agency for upload the documents there. If you are non Eu national then you can’t do but your wife can do and she have to made history that your mother dependant on her and in application give her settlement status UAN.

My timeline and some tips
My eeuu wife received her settled status in August.
I have a temporary residence permit or sticker in my passport.
I applied Oct. 3. Online. I couldn’t use the eu brexit app. Because I don’t have a Biometric card.
I uploaded my stamp/sticker, my wife’s passport photo, Marriage certificate as supporting documents. That’s all.
Biometrics taken in Croydon centre. October 16.
if you check at 7am o’clock. You’ll find some free appointments. But they are at any time. I didn’t buy any of the products they offer. Just the free appointment. Cost. £0.
I received CoA 07 November. Email.
I received SETTLED STATUS confirmation email.
9 nov.
biometric card on its way.

I have believe permanent residence is likely be ILR and I think you can do sponsor but I suggest you to contact a good lawyer before submit your application.

HI dimiku,
I applied online and end of the application i had to book a biometric appointment as i dont have a brc. i have another ongoing retained rights case under EEA law which was refused and the appeal hearing due in january 2020. i Have scanned and uploaded the marriage certificate, Divorce certificate-decree absolute, some tax returned letters from HMRC, my bank statmets (online downloaded pdf) covering 5 years as my residence proofs . ( i have already considered as Settled as the real-time checking through my NI number when filling the application)
i couldn't submitted all 5 years residence proofs of my former wife as we divorced a year ago. i have no contact with her and I'm pretty sure that she wouldn't help me out too.somehow i managed to uplaod some payslips of her and a bank statement. and we had a joint bank account which was active since 2012.i uploaded that too as her residence .thats all i uploaded as supporting evidence. now only left is decision to be made by homeoffice. dont know how long would it take when i see others time scales on this forum. but my COA was super fast though. the next day after biometrics.
