US Passport renewal - misspelled name

Hi all -

Please move if not in the right heading. I am a US citizen living the UK, recently applied for a new passport in my married name and they've misspelled my first name (Megan instead of Meghan). I've used the urgent enquiry form on the us embassy website to get in touch, but is there anything else I can do in the meantime? Has this ever happened to anyone else and what is the next step? Surely I won't have to pay again to re-apply!
