Schengen Visa : Timelines

Hello,

My spouse and I are UK residents and have ILR. We are planning to travel to Europe this Christmas. However, when we try to book an appointment for Schengen Visa, the earliest date we are getting is 30th Dec or early January, thus, missing the travel date.

Is there any way I can speed up the process and get an appointment on priority basis (similar to Uk visa)? If not, what are the other options do I have to get the visa before 20th December?
