Mn1 for child

Post by aby00156 » Thu Nov 07, 2019 12:47 pm

Hi all,

I am applying for my daughters MN1. She was born in the UK and is now 3 years old.

While filling the MN1 form it asks me to enter the address for 5 past 5 years and my daughter only has a history of 3 years.

Shall I answer Yes for the above question and move ahead. or is there any other option.
So verily, with every difficulty, there is relief.

Just click "Yes" for the question "Have you lived at your current address for 5 years?" and move to the next question. I did the same for my son's application.

Hello,
The answer to your question is in guidance notes. Basically, one referee should be a professional who has engaged with the child e.g. teacher, minister of religion, health visitor. For my children, I used minister of religion and one family friend who is director of a company.

See this below from the guidance notes:

One referee must be a person of any nationality who has professional standing,
such as a minister of religion, civil servant or a member of a professional body,
for example, accountant or solicitor (but not representing you with this
application). A list of acceptable professional persons can be found on our
website. The other referee must be the holder of a British citizen passport and
either a professional person or over the age of 25.
  • If the application is for a child, one referee should be a professional who has
engaged with the child in a professional capacity, such as a teacher, health
visitor, social worker or minister of religion. The other referee must normally be
the holder of a British citizen passport and either a professional person or over
    the age of 25.
  • Each referee must not be:
---related to you or the child
----related to the other referee
----your solicitor or agent representing you with this application
----employed by the Home Office

Hi All,

I am having a problem to get a professional referee for my 3-year-old.

The GP and midwife has said they cannot do it nor can they give a letter confirming this. They say they are not allowed to do so.

I am in a bit of a sticky situation, My daughter is 3 now and will start nursery in Jan 2020. Hence the teacher is also not an option.

What can I do for the professional referee?
So verily, with every difficulty, there is relief.
