difference between qualification

Post by fomar » Mon Jul 28, 2008 9:30 am

Hi All,

what is the difference between Master's Degree (Taught) and Master's Degree (Taught, with further specialisation from the Bachelor degree).

I have a bachelor of Arts degree in German Language and a master of science degree in computer science. Both degrees are in the BIA tool, but if I choose Master Degree(Taught), I get 30 points only, while I get 35 points if I choose Master's Degree (Taught, with further specialisation from the Bachelor degree).

I am a little bit confused, how could I evaluate my master degree

As per your note above you will only get 30 points as inorder to score 35 points you should have " (Taught, with further specialisation from the Bachelor degree)" for example - bca and mca. so your masters would be in the same field as your bachelors, thus making you a specialist in your field.

Regards

:)

But the guidance notes do not explain such things. In addition there is another kind of Master degrees (with identical specialisation as the bachelor degree), so what is the difference between this and the one with further specialisation from the bachelor degree
