How to apply for longterm stay in UK from Netherlands

Dear All,

Can anyone help me , how to apply for a longterm stay in UK from Netherland . I have a valid resident card of NL .

So will really thankful, if anybody could help me on the procedure .

wht do you mean by this "how to apply for a longterm stay in UK "??

Having Resiedence permit in NL does not give privilage when you visit UK. SImialrly for those who have PR in the UK when visiting schengen countries.

So you need visa like any other tourists.

That's not going to happen. You can stay for up to 6 months as a visitor, or if you wish to work and settle, then you would have to apply for the Tier 1 program.

If the EU ever does go through with the Blue Card, there could be a point when you can freely travel and work through out the EU (at least in the countries who don't opt-out) as a legal immigrant, though there is no telling what limitation there would be. We'll have to wait and see what happens.
