I want my passport photo to be perfect.

1. Can I take it with my own digital camera with a plain white background? not sure ...

2. Let's say for any reason if the photo gets rejected by the passport office, do we lose our fee? not sure ... they'll probably just ask for new pictures.

3. I am assuming the only two documents I need to send by post after submitting my passport application online are:

Naturalisation certificate
Valid passport of my country of birth
2 passport sized photos which are not more than 6 months old

Is this correct? Yes

4. Is there a referee required? I read a third-party needs to sign something .. what is this for? a normal requirement for the application. All you need to provide is the email address of the referee who will then be contacted by HMPO.
