Hi Kmoney1 I’m from EU, living in UK since 2004 and still waiting a reply as well since 27/10 😢.
Some tend to wait longer for some reason 😢😢😢😢
Hi Miguel,
I am still waiting, in fact, I am waiting for my father's Settled status to come through first then will have to continue to wait for mine to arrive. I called EU resolution centre today and they are saying the application is with the case worker at the moment. And it may take another 2 weeks. It is crazy how inefficient the whole process is.
My Student loan application has already been refused. Running out of time.

Hello forum,

Just received Settled Status today 6 December 2019 (in my post on 18 Nov I predicted to receive it the first week of December so that was spot on :D ).

My COA was on 24 October 2019, and I am an EEA citizen. At the time I was offered Pre-settled Status but opted for Settled Status on the basis of my old Council Tax bills that I managed to retrieve from my local council. I included a PDF with pictures of those bills to my application.

So it took the home office 43 days to process the application. For forum user DanielG (EEA) who applied on 16 October it took about 40 days and he also had been offered Pre-settled Status and also added evidence to apply for Settled Status. So for those EEA applicants who submitted additional proof for Settled Status, count on about 7 weeks for your application to be processed.

Note that I did not go through the agony of making any phone calls to the Home Office. I am pretty sure that if they see COA status they will simply tell you that everything is okay and that you have to wait.

For those who despair: Note that according to the statistics issued by the Home Office (https://www.gov.uk/government/collectio ... statistics) so far only FOUR applications were refused. So hang in there!

Good luck!

Rich

Hi Joy,
When you called the resolution center 1
1. did you mention that your family permit had expired and that you would struggle to show that you have the right to work or enter the UK if you go abroad?
2. Did they say they would expedite your case?
3. Did they recommend that you apply to a Residence Card using the EA Route? (My residence card is due to expire next week and I am still waiting for a decision so wondering if I should also apply for permanent residency on the EA route, even though this won't be valid after brexit)
Yes I did inform them my visa is expired, but they couldn't fast track my application, they lady only wrote a note on my application saying I intend to travel, I was also informed that applying for a residence permit will take time too, so am just waiting for the decision.
But if you apply for a residence permit at least you might get a COA that would allow you to work? at the moment with the expired family permit I guess you would struggle to proof your right to work/be in the UK.
Working is not my problem, travelling is. I can't enter the UK without a visa and I can't apply for a visa even if I travel because I have already applied for the settlement scheme. They said I cannot even leave the UK until I get a decision.
Its a good question. Can you work upon receiving you COA . Coz decisions and other things are taking longer than expected. And few people might suffer coz of this .!

Hi sorry to say this but it seems that the RC applications and settlement application are processed by one department. I had my biometrics on 7th October and according to the timelines - my decision is due in January/February. You can estimate yours.

Non EU family member. My partner is eu but has not applied. We got married in 2014 and got my RC 5 years in March 2015.

Timeline
Application on 21st Oct
Biometric 23rd Oct
CoA 24th Oct

Evidence of five year provided during application for both myself and partner together with partner’s ID and marriage certificate plus my RC copy, I also provided additional ( council tax of 5 years) after one month of waiting without any news . Called them on the same day in November and they said a caseworker who has been assigned to my case will look at the information provided. Note that I provided the additional info on my own without any request from H O.

Have called the EU centre a total of 3 times from 22nd Nov and they said everything looks fine that I should wait for my decision. Been waiting since then and no news. Keep checking my email every minute and nothing yet.. guess I just have to keep hoping
